Introduction

This page is used to provide information for members of OCPL Site Member Service area regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Member Service.

If you choose to use our Member Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Member Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

OCPL Site membership is 100% Free, this Member Service is provided by OCPL at no cost and is intended for use as is.

OCPL will protect your personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles (NPP) as set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth). The NPP governs the way we collect, use, disclose and secure information about you.  

Personal Information

The information we collect about you is in direct relation to your membership and the level of services and products we provide for you. The Personal information may include your name, title, organisation, contact details, other membership registration information. 

The information collected allows us to:

  • maintain an up to date membership database
  • assign the appropriate type of membership access for members needs
  • make appropriate screening checks for fraudulent membership applications
  • promote OCPL products and services to members
  • gather statistical data and to research information to improve the products and services we supply (such as Google analytics anonymous data)
  • represent members to obtain recognition and benefits of interest to members
  • provide necessary systems and infrastructure to service members
  • develop policies and management plans for the efficient management of the association

Contacting us about your information: OCPL aims to ensure that your personal information is accurate, up to date and complete, however OCPL also provides its members with the ability to enter and edit their own Personal Profile data and to delete the member account should they no longer wish to have a membership access to OCPL Site.

Please contact OCPL if you feel your information is incorrect or incomplete or you need assistance to revise your information.

Information collection and use

OCPL members’ area on the OCPL Site may have some useful but commercially sensitive information which is made available 24/7/365 to OCPL select members (usually these are existing or prospective clients with a specific need to access product technical data) however this area is not intended for open public viewing or redistribution on the wider internet (usually sought by OCPL competitors).

For this reason OCPL membership applications are subject to an initial manual vetting process to verify the applicant is a valid current or potential client of OCPL, therefore the more information you can provide us on your company and position will speed the process greatly and thereafter you will have quick access 24/7/365.

For a better experience, while using our Member Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your position and organisation, contact details and location. The information that we request is / will be retained by us and used as described in this Privacy Policy.

OCPL Site uses third party services for analytics that may collect anonymous information used to identify your usage. Third party service providers used by the app

OCPL does not employ any third-party companies and individuals to manage OCPL Personal membership data.

We restrict access to personal information to OCPL employees only who need to know that information in order to process your membership on our behalf. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution if they fail to meet these obligations.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

OCPL Member Services is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

OCPL may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
